Have you ever dreamed of opening your own franchise, only to be told by others that you’re either too young or too old? It turns out those folks may be wrong. Opening a franchise doesn’t come with any age qualification whatsoever!
You’re not too young
When people comment on your youthfulness regarding a franchise, what they’re really saying is, “You don’t have the experience to make this successful.” But part of that isn’t true. You may lack experience in certain things, but opening a franchise is all about LEARNING. You get fast, on-the-job training that your 9-to-5 job may never be able to offer. And your franchisor can help you at any time, giving tips and advice when needed.
You’re not too old
Ageism often rears its ugly head when you’ve got a few gray hairs and want to open a franchise. But you know your doubters are talking nonsense. Plenty of people start second jobs after they retire – or even before. It’s likely that at this point in your career, you have the knowledge, experience, skills and business savvy to make a franchise work in your favor.
Age is just a number
Age really has nothing to do with opening your own franchise. So ignore those who don’t think you can do it. If it’s your dream, follow it as soon as you can!
